Covenant Christian School Reviews

I have been a parent at Covenant for four years. My child has received an excellent education. When we get together with other children that are in the surrounding public schools I can see diffence that an education at Covenant makes. This is because of the excellent teachers and staff that care so much about the children on an individual level. They make sure each child is taught on their level and really care that the child understands the concept. I also appreciate the Christ centered education that is being received. It is wound into every subject and grade level.

CCS has been an excellent school for each of my 4 children. My two oldest are now in high school and excelling. The school administration is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and committed to promoting excellence in all aspects of a child's education. The teaching staff is well-qualified, caring, and dedicated to not only teaching children academic excellence, but also to promoting the emotional and spiritual well-being of the students! The student to teacher ratio is excellent and the teachers are truly committed to teaching and loving these kids! I highly recommend this school!

Morally and academically CCS does a good job. However, there is a gap between what our local public schools offer both academically and in extracurricular. There are no choices for advanced students to do higher work then their peers and sports are very limited. I think considering their size, they do the best they can. The people at CCS are wonderful. But we feel strongly that the size is a problem, not for younger students so much but as your child gets to the middle school age they need to be introduced to more diversity and real life situations that you can help them navigate before entering high school. Having only 5-10 students in an entire grade does not afford them this opportunity for growth. Our phm public school system is an excellent alternative as long as you have a strong, christ centered home and church life.

I love Covenant Christian School in Mishawaka, IN because we have a strong sense of community. Teachers, students and parents work together to provide the best possible learning environment while also nurturing the spiritual growth of the children. We have been a part of CCS for 7 years!

Our school excels at encouraging each child, whatever their level, to do their best. I look for individual attention for my kids, not just in small class sizes and dedicated teachers, but because I have twins in the same classroom. So I look for signs that each is known for his personality, his contribution to the classroom, and that his work is done and appreciated as his own. I am certain Christ is honored by our school's efforts, from the parents, to teachers and administrator, right on down to each child.

Our child has been attending CCS for four years, and we love the school more every year she is there. We chose CCS because we wanted a Christian school with not only high academics, but with real Christian teachers who live their faith in the classroom. CCS offers both of those and more. Our child has excelled both in her academics as well as her walk with the Lord since attending CCS. We also love the myriad of opportunities that the school offers for parents to get involved. We have always said that CCS is a real family where you feel God's love upon entering the doors. And not only will our daughter continue her academic career at CCS next year, but our son will begin Kindergarten there as well (he is so excited).

Covenant is a good school with solid Christian teachers who care about their students. The academics were strong and growing stronger. The school is growing, both in its program and hopefully the building. Parents are welcome to be very involved. They offer PE, music, art, computers and chapels.

We have had a child for the past eight years. CCS does a great job at every level. Curriculum is top-knotch and draws from a variety of sources. All the teachers have been just terrific and great Christian role models who apply the Christian belief system into their lessons. Parent involvement is encouraged and there are dozens of opportunities to be involved with your child's class. Test scores are consistently high and CCS offers extra resources to both the struggling student and the student who needs extra academic challenges. A really wonderful school which merits investigating by parents interested in a private education for their children.

My experience with this school was fine with my first child, but my second was refused admittance because they felt they could not handle his Type I Diabetes.

My daughter graduated from Covenant, attended from first through 8th grades. Her transition to honors classes in high school was extremely smooth. We were very happy with the academics, instruction (teachers) and values we found there.
